LUMINŌX is a new single from the ongoing musical anthology ZOOdiac.
This project consists of twelve tracks, each dedicated to a fictional creature that forms an alternative, imaginative zodiac. Every animal in the anthology represents a unique artistic concept and appears only within this musical universe.
Luminōx is presented as a glowing fox-like being associated with night, forest shadows, and quiet illumination. The track is built around Latin-inspired vocals, choral textures, and a pronounced rhythmic foundation. The overall idea of the piece is connected to the atmosphere surrounding the character itself — a creature that appears in darkness and carries its own inner light.
Creative inspiration
While working on LUMINŌX, I drew inspiration from several sources:
- Vocal and stylistic traditions of projects such as Gregorian and other acts working with Latin-based choral aesthetics
Not in a religious sense, but in the way these projects combine voices, harmony, and an ancient mood. - The expressive quality of Latin and pseudo-Latin lyrical forms
The language itself contributes a sense of age, structure, and artistic distance, which fits the fictional setting of ZOOdiac. - The visual and mythological idea of a luminous creature
The concept of a fox that appears in deep darkness and emits its own light became the basis for the artistic mood of the release.
The track includes choral elements, vocal lines, and a strong percussive layer, forming the characteristic tone of the piece without describing the sound beyond what is directly present.
